Change of leadership at nic.at: Andreas Musielak takes over from Richard Wein

After 25 successful years as CEO at nic.at, Richard Wein will retire at the end of August 2025. Under his leadership, the Austrian domain registry has developed into a recognized company in the domain industry, characterized by stability, security and service quality.

On July 1, 2025, Andreas Musielak, a longtime member of the board of the German domain registry DENIC eG, will take over the role of commercial managing director in Salzburg. Mr. Musielak brings extensive industry knowledge and international experience. During his time at DENIC, Musielak was responsible for finance, human resources, legal affairs, as well as for member and customer relationship management. He will continue to focus on these areas at nic.at and develop them further.

Andreas Musielak is particularly keen to continue the close and cooperative partnership with all .at registrars. As the new CEO, he wants to maintain an open dialog with all partners and collaboration to expand and advance the position of .at on the internet.

The handover will be carefully prepared in the coming months to ensure a smooth continuation of business responsibilities. The dual leadership of nic.at's management will therefore continue: Robert Schischka remains Chief Technical Officer and, with his expertise, ensures continuity in the technical side of the company.
